How to screenshot just part of a webpage

Sometimes the whole page is too much. Here are three precise ways to capture exactly the part you need — including sections longer than your screen.

Quick answer

In HolySnap, use A–B range for a section longer than your screen, Select area to drag a rectangle, or Select element to click a chart, card or table.

A–B range: from here to there, across scrolling

The one most tools can't do. Mark where the screenshot should start, scroll as far as you need, and mark where it should end — HolySnap captures exactly that stretch, nothing above and nothing below.

  1. Open HolySnap and choose A–B range
  2. Line up the startScroll so the start of the section sits at the top guide, then continue.
  3. Scroll to the end and captureLine up the end with the bottom guide and click Capture.

Perfect for one answer in a long chat, a single section of documentation, or one part of a report.

Select area: drag a rectangle

Choose Select area and drag over what you want. Great for a quick snippet of whatever is on screen. Free forever.

Select element: click it, get it

Choose Select element, hover over the page and click a chart, table, card or image. HolySnap captures exactly that element with clean edges — no fiddly cropping. Free forever.

Built-in ways vs HolySnap

Your computer can grab part of the screen too: Win Shift S on Windows or Cmd Shift 4 on a Mac. Those only capture what's visible right now, and you crop by eye.
