Why chats are hard to screenshot
Most chat apps — AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude, team chat like Slack and Discord, support inboxes — keep the conversation inside its own scrolling panel. The page itself doesn't scroll; only the chat window does.
That's why a regular full-page screenshot often gives you one screen of the conversation and a lot of empty sidebar. To capture the whole thread, the chat panel has to be shown at its full length first.
